Saints of God,

While I was on vacation last week, I had the opportunity to do a lot of bird watching. The place we stayed at was nestled among trees, a golf course, and a river. There was also a pond just beyond our balcony. I saw a plethora of birds and wildlife. Herons, sandhill cranes, finches of various kinds, phoebes, kingfishers, hawks, ducks, geese, gophers – the list goes on and on.

We are continually surrounded by God’s abundance in creation. We have access to the abundance of God’s love in its many forms. We also have each other. We are a people most blessed. As such, we are set apart by Christ to a holy work.

Do not neglect to do good and to share what you have,

for such sacrifices are pleasing to God. Hebrews 13:16

I commend you for the work you are doing within our churches and in our communities. Thank you for the sacrificial giving of your time and resources. Together we can accomplish much for the kingdom of God.

In this newsletter, you will see all the different ways that you can get involved in the mission God has called us to. There will also be some “Shout Outs!” to celebrate. Many times throughout my life I have benefitted from the generosity of others. In fact, I would not be here serving among you without it. Who knows how our generosity or hospitality will spur others on to good works? Only God.
